FAQ – Managing an Event

How can I edit my event?

  1. To edit your event go to your event’s page by clicking on the Event Title.  
  2. Select “Update Event” at the top, make your changes and save.  
  3. All updated information will be included with the reminders.

How can I download my guest list?

  • To download your event’s guest list go to your event’s page by clicking on the Event Title.  
  • Select “View Guestlist” at the top.  
  • Then select “Download Guestlist” on the next page Download Guestlist Directions

How can I send more email invitations?

  • To invite more people via email,go to your event’s page by clicking on the Event Title, click the “share event” button*, add in the email addresses, customize the text (if desired) and click “invite”.  
  • *The “share event”  button will hidden if you have opted to keep the event closed.

 Where will my event be posted on The Policy Circle website?

Your guests can view the event and RSVP from any of the following:

  • Their Newsfeed
  • In the Events tab of their Newsfeed and Circle page
  • Under “All Events”
  • Their weekly update email The Conversation

Who can see my event if I check that “Guests Are Welcome?”

When you post an event and open it to guests, it will allow people outside The Policy Circle community to RSVP without having to login or create an account.  This will help increase attendance and allow prospective members to participate in and experience a circle meeting.  

As a result, the event will be visible to:

  • Anyone who receives an email with a link to the event
  • Anyone who does an internet search with specific identifying keywords

Additionally:

  • Names of those that have RSVPed will only be visible to active members, not the general public.
  • As soon as the date has passed, the event will no longer be public and the links will become inactive.
